Formal Letter Format Explained
A formal letter typically follows a specific format, including:
The sender's address: This should be at the top of the page, on the right-hand side.
The date: This should be immediately below the sender's address, also on the right-hand side.
The recipient's address: This should be below the date, on the left-hand side of the page.
The salutation: This should be a formal greeting, such as "Dear [Name],"
The body of the letter: This should be the main content of the letter, and should be divided into clear paragraphs.
The closing: This should be a formal closing, such as "Sincerely," followed by a comma
The signature: This should be written by hand and include your name, title, and contact information.
The enclosure notation: If you are including any enclosures such as resume or other documents, the notation should be mention below the signature.
